Our Mission: 'To make our industry quieter, safer and greener'
Following the success of Cullum’s “ATEX/EPS Combustion Exhausts” as a solution for the management of Gas Turbine exhaust gasses in potentially explosive atmospheres, we would like to highlight why the correct maintenance of these systems is important to ensure continued safe usage.
The purpose of an ATEX/EPS Combustion Exhaust is to manage the flow of hot exhaust gases from an industrial Gas Turbine (or any other combustion source) through a defined route to a location where the gases can be safely released to atmosphere (i.e. non-hazardous area). An ATEX/EPS Combustion Exhaust provides a barrier which prevents significant quantities of thermal energy in the exhaust gases (and hence an ignition source) coming into contact/mixing with any flammable or explosive gases or dusts that may be present in the area around the exhaust ducting.
Combustion exhaust systems can have a typical life of up to 25 years. But regular inspection is required to ensure the following:-
Therefore it is absolutely critical to make sure that these assets are regularly inspected and any explosion risk effectively mitigated.
Over 60 years Cullum has delivered 2000+ Exhausts to the market place, and these have withstood the toughest of conditions.
Ageing Exhausts can provide a risk to your personnel, equipment and the environment!
