  • Manage Engineering sub-contract resource, through working with the Project Team and Engineering SMT, to ensure objectives related to cost, performance and delivery are met.
  • Working with the Engineering SMT and Engineers, lead the creation of programmes in response to a Project or Enquiry (at point of Early Engagement) to ensure a plan is in place with regards to the delivery of Engineering activities.
  • Working with the lead engineers to ensure control documentation is completed in a timely manner and is used to control all design activities, e.g. DCD, DDCR, Concessions and rework applications, specification reviews, TQ’s and various registers.
  • Working with the Engineering SMT, lead creation and maintenance of a live Engineering Capacity Plan.
  • To identify and escalate risks and performance issues to the Engineering SMT and Project Managers as appropriate.
  • Working with the Engineering Delivery Manager, Engineering SMT, and the wider business to develop new processes which support the successful delivery of projects, with a focus on the Engineering delivery.
  • To report progress to the Project Managers and line management on a regular basis.
  • Interpret engineering specifications and standards.
  • To support company initiatives and attend training events as necessary.
  • Attendance at, and arrangement of, internal meetings, visits to site and to the client as required.
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.


  • Manage sub-contract (not embedded within Cullum) Engineering resource principally from a planning and contractual standpoint.
  • Work on own initiative in a team environment.
  • The post holder will communicate with other services and outside organisations.
  • To lead by example and operate to the highest engineering professional code of conduct.
  • To guide, mentor and supervise other staff as required

  • Promote and represent Cullum when required, setting a good personal example at all times.

  • Relevant Engineering Degree


  • Additional Project / Management training


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant production/manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience of creating and driving robust Project programmes.
  • Evidence of consistent delivery of projects to a high standard.
  • Evidence of successful sub-contract / external partner management.
  • Desirable
  • Experienced with planning tools Asta Powerproject / Microsoft Project
