JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible for the compliance of supplied equipment & documentation from project launch, through to completion (including packing & shipping).


JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Support the Project Manager & Project Team members as required.
  • Support supplier development including ownership of “Relationship Charters” when appropriate with a view to improving quality of product and processes to help, increase efficiencies and drive down costs.
  • Generation of contract specific documentation specifications. 
  • Review supplier purchase orders for designated suppliers prior to issue to ensure all appropriate compliance requirements are included.
  • Launch project specific quality requirements at suppliers (Kick off).
  • Ensure acceptable levels of workmanship and quality are achieved and maintained supported by Inspectors as and when required.
  • Review supplier’s manufacturing data books, content & format against contractual requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Undertake and support supplier audits (product & process).
  • Provide feedback to the business as appropriate.
  • Liaise with and support customer representatives as and when required.
  • To support other QA & SHE activities as required.



SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure the Quality & SHE Manager is made aware of any potential or existing problems with customers or suppliers that would impact upon the Cullum Business Management System.
  • Continually investigate and implement areas of improvement to make the processes within the QA & SHE Department more efficient and robust.
  • Work under own initiative with the ability to plan workloads around the
  • requirements of the department and Cullum.
  • To provide reports to the Quality & SHE Manager as required by the Business Management System.


GENERIC CONDITIONS

  • Be aware of, and adhere to, Cullum current policies and procedures including but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the Employee Handbooks.
  • Undertake duties as may be required within capabilities consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment and responsibilities in accordance with UK and EC Laws.
  • Undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the line manager.



EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Essential

  • Computer literate with good general knowledge and use of systems.


Desirable

  • ONC in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Previous audit experience / knowledge to ISO9001 and ISO14001.
  • Relevant quality / environment qualification.
  • Qualified CSWIP Welding Inspector.


EXPERIENCE
Essential

  • Previous and relevant work experience in the principal role.
  • General engineering background.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.


Desirable

  • Sound understanding of the equipment types within the Cullum product range.
