  • Responsible for the management of the overseas strategic supply chain


  • To manage elements of Cullum strategic supply chain in line with agreed Supplier Framework Agreements, ensuring strong focus on QCD principles
  • To purchase equipment and services related to these suppliers. This process will include the preparation of enquiries (RFQs), purchase orders, evaluation of bids and contractual negotiations, in order to exceed nominated budgets
  • To act as the ‘relationship’ owner of nominated overseas strategic suppliers
  • To have an overview of overseas strategic supply chain capacity (in line with forecast demand), and report accordingly
  • To report supplier KPIs to Procurement Manager on a monthly basis
  • To deliver targeted cost reductions to the business
  • To negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit to the business
  • To support the Procurement Manager with supplier contract negotiations as required
  • To ensure all costs are recovered from suppliers due to poor performance, including the recovery of liquidated damages where appropriate
  • To both expedite the suppliers, and ensure Cullum affords the right level of support to ensure the Supplier can deliver their commitments
  • To perform regular performance reviews with suppliers to monitor performance versus contract, and to ensure improvement plans are in place and business priorities stated as required
  • To update Project Management with status of goods within the supply chain (using project required templates)
  • To coordinate documentation approvals, submissions and monitor returns
  • To provide assistance to sales & applications department in the form of advice and estimates for costs of manufacture and shipping
  • To adhere to all business and procurement processes
  • To provide support as required to the other members of the procurement team
  • To provide support as required to members of the quality team
  • To monitor supplier inventory, and provide support to members of the finance team, ensuring accurate financial year end stock sheets are submitted in a timely manner



  • Strong commercial acumen (knowledge of liquidated damages, un-liquidated damages, INCOTERMS etc.)
  • Engineering expertise
  • Knowledge of large fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Qualified (or studying towards) to MCIPS or equivalent standard


  • ONC/HNC level engineering qualification
  • Recognised procurement qualification MCIPS or equivalent standard


  • Having worked within a Purchasing & Supply Chain environment (minimum 5 years)
  • Expediting sub-contract manufacture
