  • To support on time delivery of “Right First Time” compliant engineering.
  • Assisting Engineering and Project functions to set up and control projects, with emphasis on processes and planning activities
  • Working with the department leads and Head of Engineering to identify engineering requirements and feed these into the capacity planning for Engineering. 
  • Responsible for coordination and control of Engineering documentation, with emphasis on record keeping, maintaining, issuing and distributing. documentation within the company and externally as needed.
  • Supporting and actioning Engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance to business needs.


  • Work with Engineering to understand the scope of engineering tasks required to fulfil project requirements.  Working on assessing timescales and work breakdown structures (WBS) of projects to feed project planning activities.
  • Working with Engineering to create drawing and document lists to support WBS and departmental requirements
  • Supporting Department leads to accurately forecast budgets and actual hours required to support and feed capacity planning for Engineering
  • Understand and update Engineering processes and procedures at the direction of the Head of Engineering and Department Leads
  • Working with Department Leads and Head of Engineering to create and manage departmental KPI’s and drive process adherence
  • Supporting and carrying out documentation control of approved drawings and documents produced by Engineering.
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.


  • The work is varied, may be complex and involve changing rapidly from one task to another during the working day
  • The post holder will work as part of a team and under his / her own initiative and shall lead by example
  • The post holder must work to attain optimum performance in service delivery within the area of responsibility
  • The post holder should seek the advice of the Head of Engineering on difficult or contentious matters
  • The post holder will communicate with other services and outside organisations


  • Promote and represent Cullum when required, setting a good personal example at all times.
  • Take all possible and reasonable steps to create a harmonious working environment using effective communication and team working techniques.
  • Be aware of, and adhere to Cullum policies and procedures, including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001, BS OHSAS 18001, the Health, Safety, Welfare, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures and Employee Handbook.
  • Undertake duties as may be required within capabilities consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment and responsibilities in accordance with UK and EC Laws.
  • Undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by line manager.


  • Must be able to work with Asta-Powerproject, MSP or other similar planning tools
  • Engineering background with suitable qualification to HNC/HND level or equivalent


  • Understanding of ERP system would be useful


  • Basic understanding of key business driver and goals
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools
  • Basic project management skills
  • Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible attitude to variety in work scope
  • Good knowledge of drawing and document control processes, when dealing in an Engineering / Software environment


  • Understanding of drawings, sequences, product definitions & terminology
