JOB PURPOSE

  • Ensure that all team members provide the necessary services and support that the Project Managers requires to deliver compliant projects on time, to budget, in a way that satisfies our customers.
  • Deputies for the role of Site Supervisor on smaller Installations and/or periods of Site Supervisor absence from site
  • Provide support and assistance to the Site Supervisor.
  • Control and supervision of ‘Site’ Installation activities, labour, materials, equipment and contracted resource.
  • To ensure compliance with customer and company specifications, plans and working instructions ensuring site and product compliance with Quality, Health Safety & Environmental standards and current legislations.
  • Communicate with Customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors with respect to ‘Installation’ plans and progress. Ensuring activities yield least time and cost options to meet customer and company requirements and specifications.


JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure activities of the ‘designated site’ Installation team are controlled and structured to meet the project objectives.
  • Oversee the ‘Site’ Installation phase of allocated projects.  Working closely, and communicating, with site personnel, customer, suppliers, sub-contractors and Cullum associated departments.
  • Assist with the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Crane plans, Health Safety & Environmental documents, etc to ensure compliance with current regulations and legislations.
  • Assist in site audits, inspections, surveys, pre-site visits and meetings for Installation aspects of all projects on behalf of Cullum.


SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead by example on matters of Health Safety & Environmental, welfare and codes of conduct. 
  • Identify and implement areas of improvement for Site working.
  • Work under his / her, own initiative providing motivation and supervision of ‘Site’ personnel.
  • Responsible for day to day control of ‘designated site’ personnel including welfare and discipline on assigned projects, including holding a permit.
  • Maximise the use of Cullum management control systems to ensure accurate and auditable project control.
  • Reporting of ‘designated site’ activities, progress, issues and concerns.
  • Ensure that the Installation Supervisors/Engineers are informed of major developments and/or problems associated with assigned projects, supply chain and customers. Providing permanent monitors and records of relevant issues.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Essential

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous site/installations experience on gas terminals or similar site
  • Understanding of ‘site’ Health Safety & Environmental requirements
  • Communication skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels
  • One, two and/or three-week continuous working away will be required


Desirable

  • Previous understanding of working on CDM area’s
  • SCO91 and able to hold a permit on site/SMSTS or Equivalent Site Supervisor qualification
  • First Aid
  • MEWP and PASMA
  • Worked on sites using CDM regulations.
  • Confined spaces and Slinger Banks man
  • Fork Lift Truck drivers
  • Ability to progress to site supervisor
